Automation and Computerized Systems Validation Engineer (CSV)

About the role:
At our manufacturing site the Packaging Center, we are looking for an Automation and Computerized Systems Validation Engineer (CSV). In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing automation systems, while ensuring that computerized systems are validated and compliant with relevant CSV and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements. This position offers the opportunity to combine hands-on work in automation with participation in capital projects aimed at increasing plant capacity, equipment reliability, and efficiency of production processes (Digital Factory).

Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing failures on production equipment and automated systems, resolving breakdowns, and being responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance in order to minimize production downtime.
- Modifying and optimizing PLC programs and integrating new functionalities into existing automated systems.
- Providing guidance in resolving all issues related to automation systems, including deviation investigations and/or trend analysis based on data available in the system.
- Supporting the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Digital Factory systems (real-time monitoring, OEE, downtime analysis) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) integrated with shopfloor automation systems and enterprise applications.
- Participating in the maintenance of the Unified Namespace (UNS) architecture for real-time integration and contextualization of manufacturing data.
- Supporting IT/OT integration projects involving PLC, SCADA, Historian, Digital Factory, MES and Machine Data Connection (MDC).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
- Previous experience of 1–3 years working in a production or process-oriented environment.
- Experience in independent diagnostics and troubleshooting of issues on equipment and automation systems.
- Conversational level of English.
- Systematic, analytical approach to problem solving and decision-making.
- Readiness for teamwork, open communication, and a collaborative mindset.
