Power BI Developer

Location: Belgrade

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer in our Belgrade office to support a project for the German market, covering reports from Finance, Market Insights and Salesforce. In this role, you will own both the data models and the Power BI front ends built on top of them. We are on the lookout for candidates who first understand the request and then use their expertise to propose more effective solutions. 

Responsibilities:  

• Design, build and maintain our data models (star schema, DAX measures, calculation logic)
• Develop Power BI reports and dashboards where front-end quality matters: clear layout, good usability, solid performance
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation and validation
•  Work with business stakeholders: run requirements workshops, challenge assumptions and advise on what will actually solve the problem
• Keep data quality and consistency in check across all reports for the German market
• Improve existing dashboards based on user feedback.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development and front-end work you can show (report design, UX, interactivity, performance tuning)
• Solid experience designing and maintaining data models (dimensional modeling, DAX, Power Query / M)
• Strong SQL skills (querying, joins, performance optimization)
• Experience advising business users directly: gathering requirements, managing expectations and explaining technical topics in plain language
• Fluent English as working language (German would be an advantage)
• Advantage: experience with Finance data (P&L, controlling, budgeting and forecasting structures) and Market Insights data (market research panels, external providers such as IQVIA, Nielsen or GfK)
• Nice to have: experience with regional sales data and/or Salesforce (CRM data structures, sales performance reporting)
• Familiarity with the broader Microsoft data stack (Fabric, Azure, Power Platform)
• You already use AI coding tools in your daily work for DAX, SQL and report development, or would like to
• Background in pharmaceutical or FMCG companies, ideally with exposure to the German market, is also an advantage
