Head of Legal & Compliance (M/F)   

Issy les Moulineaux | France (FR) | Full-time | Permanent 

Context:
Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a central role in defining, leading, and securing the company’s legal strategy.

Your mission will be to support the company’s development by ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements, while acting as a business partner to the Management team and operational teams.

Missions:

• Legal business partner to leadership and teams

• • Provide pragmatic legal and compliance advice to executive management and operational teams.
  • Support strategic and commercial decision-making using a risk-based approach.
  • Act as the primary legal contact for the Commercial, Pharmaceutical, and Business Development functions.
  • Secure the activities of each BU (Retail; Specialty; CHC) according to their specific challenges.

•  Contract law:

• • Draft, review, negotiate, and secure key contracts, including:
    • manufacturing and toll manufacturing agreements,
    • distribution and promotional agreements,
    • critical supplier and service provider agreements,
    • partnership and services agreements.
  • Support teams in product launch strategies.

• Compliance:

• • Lead the compliance framework.
  • Act as the local owner responsible for implementing the Third-Party Due Diligence (TPDD) framework.
  • Define, update, and roll out compliance policies, procedures, and training.
  • Monitor sensitive situations, alerts, and conduct internal investigations as needed.

• Personal data protection:

• • Oversee GDPR compliance.
  • Support teams in achieving compliance for data processing activities.

• Disputes, competition law, and risk management

• • Manage pre-litigation and litigation matters (commercial, competition, product liability, administrative).
  • Coordinate external counsel and manage the related budgets.
  • Implement a preventive approach to legal and reputational risk management.

• Organization of the Legal & Compliance function:

• • Structure and prioritize legal and compliance activities.
  • Manage and/or coordinate internal and external resources.
  • Develop tools, processes, and standards that are easy for business teams to use.

Your profile :

Education & experience 

• Proven experience (minimum 8–12 years), ideally within a pharmaceutical company acting as a marketing authorization holder,
• and/or in a law firm specializing in life sciences.
• Significant experience supporting commercial and pharmaceutical teams.
• Master’s degree in Law (business law, health law, pharmaceutical law); BAR admission (CAPA) is a plus.
• Fluent French and English (spoken and written).
