Demand Planning Lead

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Demand Planning Lead to drive the demand planning and S&OP processes, ensure high forecast accuracy, and lead a team of planners. This role will act as a key business partner for Commercial, Marketing, Supply Planning, Regulatory, and Global teams to ensure product availability, optimal inventory levels, and effective cross-functional alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Demand Planning team, ensuring effective workload distribution, coaching, and performance management and report
- Own and drive the demand planning process within the S&OP framework.
- Lead demand review meetings and coordinate forecasting activities with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning, and HQ stakeholders.
- Develop forecasting and reporting processes
- Analyze market trends, primary and secondary sales data, promotional activities, product launches, and phase-outs to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Monitor and improve forecast accuracy and other planning KPIs; identify root causes of deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure alignment between demand forecasts, supply plans, and inventory targets.
- Manage inventory health, including safety stock policies, slow-moving and excess stock risks, and product availability.
- Partner with Supply Planning and Regulatory teams to proactively manage supply risks and regulatory changes impacting product availability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting methodologies, planning processes, and data quality.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, GDP requirements, and company policies.
Requirements
- Higher education in Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, or S&OP processes.
- Previous people management or team leadership experience.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of forecasting methodologies, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher.
