PURPOSE

As a Packaging Simplification Expert, you will be part of the Technical Operations Team based in Barcelona and report to the Senior Director, Global Head of Packaging and Devices Development and Industrialisation.

You will be a key contributor of Technical Operations organization and will be responsible to transform the current packaging complexity of the STADA Packaging portfolio. You will clearly understand our packaging network and our pack components, and you have proven experience in the packaging field to succeed in this position, while bringing valuable and meaningful solutions to the brands, markets and manufacturing sites we support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, manage and track plan to reduce Packaging Complexity;
• You will support and cooperate with company sites and CMOS
•  Ensure sustainability and effectiveness of the STADA Packaging governance (including tests), and manage KPIs;
•  Manage STADA packaging standards, packaging technical specifications, packaging test methods and equipment, proactively cooperating with other Team Members

                (e.g., Packaging, Procurement, MS&T, Operations, Logistics, Artworks, Category Management, Marketing and Portfolio Management & Development);

•  Ensure robust and reliable management of the documentation associated with Packaging development and industrialisation (e.g., database);
•  Understand packing lines and packaging suppliers’ capabilities and limitations;
•  Develop, manage and track plan to deploy the STADA Packaging Sustainability strategy within Technical Operations and transform the STADA packaging portfolio to comply with environmental regulations;
•  Author documents (e.g., guidelines), provide consultation, review and provide guidance to support packaging team members.

REQUIREMENTS

• BSc or equivalent degree in Packaging, Engineering, Materials or related technical discipline
•  Proven experience in package engineering and development, preferably in the cosmetics industry, with a minimum of 10 years working experience, with an understanding of Operations and Supply Chain
•  Experience in working with a broad spectrum of materials, the manufacturing and functionality of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging
•  Experience in technical packaging specifications and packaging testing will be a success factor;
•  Experience in project leadership in a global environment, able to navigate easily between strategic work and drive for operational implementation in the field;
• Fluent in English (writing and speaking), other language abilities are a plus;
•  Excellent written communication skills.
