PURPOSE

 

The CITS (Centralized IT Sourcing) Trainee role is designed to support our CITS department in various tasks and projects, gaining practical experience and developing skills in information technology, procurement and vendor management. This role is ideal for individuals with an IT or business background or knowledge who are eager to grow their expertise in a dynamic pharmaceutical environment. The trainee will gain exposure to real-world IT challenges and develop essential problem-solving skills. This role is rooted in the IT department and perfectly equipped to get deep insights into legal, compliance and commercial processes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES       

                                  

 

  • Shape the future of Vendor Performance Management: Play a key role in transforming our Vendor Performance Management (VPM) program from proof-of-concept into a global operating model. You'll help drive the rollout across a broad vendor landscape, optimize processes based on real business feedback, and contribute to building a highly automated survey and reporting solution through our in-house web application.
  • Work with global strategic IT vendors: Support the management of strategic technology partners by helping monitor performance, coordinating stakeholder interactions, and contributing to strong, long-term vendor relationships.
  • Turn data into business decisions: Collect, analyze, and visualize vendor performance and IT cost data, identify trends and opportunities, and prepare meaningful insights that support decision-making for the CITS leadership team.
  • Support digital Legal & Compliance initiatives: Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to help optimize their technology landscape and contribute to digital solutions that improve efficiency and governance.
  • Drive Vendor Intelligence: Research market trends, benchmark vendors, and gather competitive intelligence to support sourcing decisions, vendor selection, and strategic planning.
  • Learn IT Contract Management: Gain hands-on experience in reviewing and managing IT contracts, working closely with experienced colleagues to ensure commercial and contractual excellence.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Recent graduate or final-year student in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Economics or Legal practice.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications. Familiarity with data analysis or survey tools (e.g. MS Forms, Power BI, Excel) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and Excellent communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. Demonstrated ability to independently drive a project from concept through execution, with structured follow-through on open action items.
  • Attention to Detail: Careful and precise in completing tasks
  • Teamwork, adaptability and time management. Cross-functional coordination
  • High level of English is a must. Other languages are nice to have. Valid work authorization in the EU for the full duration of the contract is required.
