STADA UK Thornton & Ross – QC Analyst

Huddersfield |U.K.| Full-time | Permanent

Step into the heart of laboratory science as a QC Analyst and see your work make a real impact from day one. In this role, you’ll generate high‑quality, accurate and timely data that keeps our products safe, effective and ready for patients and customers.

You’ll be hands‑on in the lab, testing the raw materials that go into our products using HPLC and wet chemistry techniques, amongst others, spotting and investigating data anomalies, and contributing to team and site‑wide objectives. You’ll also help keep our laboratory systems robust and compliant, working to technical, operational, SHE and cGMP standards every step of the way.

If you’re a science graduate or have a couple of years’ experience in a lab environment and you’re passionate about data integrity, analytical excellence and learning advanced techniques, this is your opportunity to grow your career in a fast‑paced QC team.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Deliver high-quality analytical results in full compliance with cGMP and local procedures, protecting product release, business continuity and company reputation.
  • Proactively spot process, method and data issues, raise anomalies, and help shape practical improvements with management support.
  • Own your workload over 1–7 day periods, following team plans and objectives while acting as a supportive, collaborative team player.
  • Contribute to robust data integrity by generating clear, accurate records and peer-reviewing colleagues’ data as part of the checking process.
  • Maintain and improve key lab systems and ways of working (e.g. Kanban, 6S), ensuring a safe, efficient and well-organised environment.
  • Bring strong communication, a self-starting attitude, willingness to research new subject areas and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree in a Chemistry-related subject eg Analytical Chemistry or Forensic Chemistry
  • Hands-on experience with analytical instruments – including at least one of the following: HPLC, GC, UV/Vis and balances.
  • Strong grounding in GLP, with excellent attention to detail and a track record of following procedures precisely.
  • Confident working with data, using LIMS and Excel to analyse results and maintain accurate records.
  • Clear, professional communicator, able to report methods, results and deviations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical, organised team player who can interpret complex data, troubleshoot issues and manage time effectively in a busy QC environment.
