STADA UK |Natures Aid | Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Kirkham, Preston, UK | Site Based | Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:
As Maintenance Supervisor, you will support the Head of Operations by leading the Maintenance Team at the Kirkham site. You will ensure production is maximized while following planned schedules, GMP, and SOP guidelines. Managing a team of six engineers and technicians of varying seniority, you will drive operational excellence, reliability, and safety, contributing to continuous improvement and the overall performance of site engineering operations.

How You Will Make Impact:

• Lead the day-to-day activities of the engineering team, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize production disruption.
• Support and implement preventative maintenance strategies and ensure maintenance records are up to date.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and act as the first escalation point for engineers and operators.
• Drive safe working practices and maintain compliance with HSE, GMP, and internal standards.
• Supervise and manage contractors on site to ensure safe and compliant work.
• Contribute to CAPEX projects, equipment upgrades, and commissioning activities.
• Use equipment performance data (e.g., downtime, OEE) to identify and implement improvements.
• Support TPM and reliability initiatives at the site level.
• Lead and coach your team, fostering a positive, collaborative culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For:

• You hold a relevant engineering degree, with Mechanical or Electrical preferred, and bring 10–15+ years of experience in engineering or maintenance.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is ideal, though backgrounds in FMCG, food manufacturing, or packaging are also highly relevant.
• You have proven experience in a maintenance or engineering leadership role, including people management of teams with varying seniority, and ideally some early-career coaching experience.
• You have experience managing budgets and overseeing CAPEX or maintenance investments.
• Strong knowledge of HSE, GMP, and engineering standards, with a hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and build a positive, high-performing team culture.
• You are focused on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and compliance.
