The pharmaceutical company EG is a Belgian company and leader of generic medicines in Belgium. Today, the company counts 190 collaborators. EG is part of STADA Group and consists of 3 divisions: EG Generics, Consumer Care & Specialty Care. The EG Generics portfolio contains almost 700 medicines (mostly prescription medicines) destined for the treatment of health problems in almost every therapeutic domain. Job Purpose

As Key Account Manager Lead, you will be responsible for managing EG NV’s largest pharmaceutical accounts like Multipharma, PCPF and Benu—while leading and coaching a team of Key Account Managers and Representatives. You will drive strategic negotiations, foster long-term partnerships, and ensure the successful execution of commercial plans across both major and smaller key accounts

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Management

- Lead negotiations and commercial agreements with EG NV’s largest pharmacy chains.

- Propose and defend a year budget for the Key Account team

- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

- Maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders in key accounts.

Team Leadership & Coaching

- Lead a team of 8: 2 direct reports (Key Account Managers) and 6 indirect reports (Key Account Representatives).

- Coach and support the team in managing smaller key accounts, ensuring alignment with EG NV’s commercial strategy.

- Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, and other internal teams to ensure seamless execution of account strategies.

- Champion customer needs internally and ensure EG NV delivers value-added solutions.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

- Track and report on account performance, team KPIs, and market trends.

- Provide regular updates to senior management and contribute to strategic planning

 

Qualifications & Experience

- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in key account management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

- Proven success in negotiating with by preference large pharmacy chains or similar strategic partners.

- Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.

- Fluent in Dutch and French; English proficiency is a plus
