District Manager - Upper Egypt

Position : District Manager - Upper Egypt

 

The candidate will have experience in the pharmaceutical industry and an understanding of the Egyptian Market.

 

Area of Responsibility

  • Partnering with local/regional Marketing Teams to understand strategic franchise and brand imperatives and develop commercial objectives.
  • Implement, revise, and monitor corporate plans to deliver business objectives.
  • Assign territories, set strategic business goals, and establish training programs for his team members.
  • Evaluate and monitor account plans to ensure they continue to meet strategic business objectives.
  • Manage daily activities of team members under his area of responsibility.
  • Oversee management of expenses disbursed by his team members.
  • Prepare accomplishment reports of staff under responsibility and inform his direct manager and HR of their performance.
  • Conduct regular meetings with staff under supervision to ensure adherence to business objectives, monitor individual performance, dissemination of technical data, identify problems/challenges encountered by team members, etc.
  • Manage dashboards and timelines to monitor and follow up on actions related to strategy implementation.
  • Analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential and to monitor preference of market under jurisdiction.
  • Supports Egypt leadership team to successfully develop and implement the commercialization plans.
  • Responsible to collaborate with Medical, Sales, Marketing, and other functions in developing sales forecast and strategic plans to manage the new business opportunities.
  • lead the launch of new brands as per the Business Development plan.

 

Technical Skills

  • Market & portfolio understanding which is required to anticipate trends/drive portfolio growth.
  • Strategic thinker, innovative, able to drive multiple simultaneous initiatives, able to work under pressure.
  • Analytical skills supporting quick grasp of market/financial data in order to process business case driven recommendations (mastering Excel a given).
  • Excellent leadership, managerial, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Goal oriented, focused, energetic, and enthusiastic.
  • IT savvy and process orientation.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy/medicine/science.
  • MBA/ master’s degree/ Post Graduate Diploma in Sales Management, Marketing or related field from a reputable University will be an advantage.

 

Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in pharma industry.
  • A minimum of 5 years people management experience.
  • Multinational Experience is an asset.
  • Diversified experience in Retail/Trade and Hospital sectors market channels Egypt in a medium to large size reputable organizations.
  • In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical industry within the Egyptian market.
  • Strong project management knowledge and prior experience in working with cross functional team is a preferred asset.
