Culture & People Business Partner
Almaty | Kazakhstan (KZ) | Full-time | Permanent | Culture & People (CP) | Professionals
C&P BP (Kazakhstan) acts as a strategic partner to business leaders, driving a high‑performance, inclusive culture and delivering people solutions that support the company’s strategy. The role combines classic HR business partnering (talent, performance, org design) with a strong focus on culture, engagement and change.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic People Partnering
Partner with business leaders to understand priorities and translate them into people plans. Provide data‑driven insights on headcount, turnover, engagement and performance to support decision‑making. Support organizational design, role clarity and workforce planning in assigned business areas.
- Culture & Engagement
Co‑create and drive culture initiatives aligned with company values (e.g., recognition, feedback, well‑being, inclusion). Plan and implement engagement surveys and pulse checks; analyze results and facilitate action planning with leaders. Champion diversity, equity and inclusion practices in everyday processes (hiring, promotion, development).
- Talent, Performance & Development
Support end‑to‑end talent management: recruitment, onboarding quality, succession and talent reviews. Facilitate performance management cycles, ensuring quality goal setting, feedback and development plans. Partner with L&D to identify capability gaps and implement learning solutions for teams and leaders.
- Employee Relations & Employee Experience
Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters in line with local labor law and company policies. Support the resolution of conflicts, investigations and performance issues with a fair, consistent approach. Work to improve the employee lifecycle (onboarding, transfers, promotions, exits) and overall employee experience.
- Change Management & Communication
Support and/or lead change initiatives (reorgs, new systems, process changes) with clear communication and stakeholder engagement. Coach leaders on leading change, communicating with transparency and managing resistance. Ensure key people policies and initiatives are communicated clearly and understood in the business.
- HR Processes & Continuous Improvement
Ensure accurate and timely HR data in systems; collaborate with HR Operations/Shared Services where relevant. Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and propose improvements. Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, tools and processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- 5+ years of experience in HR Business Partner, People Partner or similar role.
- Proven experience in culture, engagement or change initiatives is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of local labor legislation and core HR processes.
- Experience in a multinational / matrix environment is an advantage.
- Skills & Competencies Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills; ability to influence at all levels.
- High level of integrity, discretion and trustworthiness.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Analytical mindset; ability to interpret data and translate into actions.
- Coaching mindset with focus on developing leaders and teams.
- Resilience and adaptability in a changing environment.
