AP Accountant
Location: Belgrade

About the job:
In this position, you will be part of the Accounts Payable team within our finance organization in Belgrade. Your main responsibilities will include day-to-day processing of payables to suppliers, ensuring accurate and timely posting of incoming invoices and execution of payments, as well as supporting reporting and period-end closing activities in line with internal policies and accounting standards. The position entails working in an international environment and close cooperation with colleagues from other departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Process, code and post vendor invoices and other AP transactions accurately and on time in the accounting system
  • Monitor and execute payment runs in accordance with internal policies and payment schedules
  • Perform AP reconciliations, clear open items and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
  • Manage and reconcile GR/IR (Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt) accounts in SAP, in close cooperation with procurement and other internal stakeholders
  • Support bank reconciliations and preparation of AP-related reports for management (e.g. aging, payment status, KPIs)
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of documentation and support to internal and external auditors
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and projects (e.g. SAP S/4HANA implementation, digitalization and automation)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role
  • Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience is required
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excell
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • German language skills are considered an advantage
