Norbitec GmbH was established in 2003 as a joint venture and is part of BIOCEUTICALS Arzneimittel AG, a subsidiary of STADA Arzneimittel AG, and Nordmark Pharma GmbH.

What you can expect

As Head of MS&T (Manufacturing Science & Technology), you will lead the MS&T team at the site. You will effectively apply your extensive knowledge of biopharmaceutical active ingredient production (upstream and downstream) to further develop our biopharmaceutical manufacturing process in close collaboration with the production units. You will implement improvement projects and act as a key interface between production and global STADA MS&T structures. During troubleshooting, you will resolve complex challenges related to products and processes.

• You will have both functional and disciplinary leadership of the MS&T team
• You will ensure compliance with HSE guidelines and pay attention to meeting regulatory requirements (GMP) in the associated MS&T laboratories
• You will provide scientific and technical support throughout the entire manufacturing process (Product Stewardship) and further develop the small-scale models
• You will implement and further develop an effective MS&T structure at the site in alignment with STADA MS&T standards
• You will lead and implement improvement projects and change requests (CC) for process optimization together with the production units
• You will actively participate in audits and inspections (including FDA, EMA, and local authorities)
• You will create and maintain continuous process monitoring (CPV)
• You will create and maintain relevant documents and SOPs
• You will support the USP/DSP production units in process validations
• As Investigation Lead, you will head complex deviation investigations including root cause analysis and CAPA definition
• You will further develop the technical know-how at the site and conduct internal trainings
• You will represent the Head of Production in selected committees

Who we are looking for

• You have at least a master’s degree in bioprocess engineering, (pharmaceutical) biotechnology, or a comparable field of study
• You have at least 5 years of experience in biopharmaceutical production, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• You bring in-depth knowledge of upstream and downstream processes as well as eukaryotic cell systems
• You are fluent in both German and English
• You are characterized by strong communication skills at all organizational levels, analytical thinking, and a pronounced team orientation
• You have a strong hands-on mentality
