Supply Chain Co-ordinator   

Reading | United Kingdom (GB) | Full-time | Permanent 

 

OBJECTIVE

 

To support the supply chain function in the movement of products globally.  Responsible for the shipment process and co-ordination of third-party partners.  As process owner, shipments must be fully compliant with cross border trade requirements and delivered within the quality parameters of the product and to agreed timescales. This encompasses the effective management of third-party suppliers and support the supply chain function to ensure queries are effectively resolved.

 

To accurately manage and effectively process orders through computerised order entry systems and ensure that customers are accurately invoiced in a timely manner.

 


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Export Orders

  • Processed in accordance (SAP) with timelines agreed with customer and to the required GDP standards
  • All export paperwork produces and provided to the customer, copies provided to the relevant personnel and filed in accordance with the company requirements.
  • All Legal export documents raised in accordance with customer requirements, copied and filed.
  • Liaises with warehouse/manufacture personnel to ensure customer’s delivery requirements are met

 

Third-party suppliers

  • Liaise with approved freight providers to arrange suitable shipping of good (any product exported/imported has to comply with the transport policy with respect to temperature controlling and monitoring. 
  • Establish optimum logistical arrangements and co-ordination of in-bound consignments (including raw materials, finished goods, packaging)
  • Communication and filling of all relevant paperwork 
  • All databases updated within given timescales

 

Query Management

  • Ensure all queries received are acknowledged and recorded onto query management system
  • Identifies, interprets and responds to queries and generates appropriate solutions on own initiative whenever possible, otherwise escalate to Head of Supply Chain 
  • Manage monthly invoicing creation and credit management responsibilities. 

 

Compliance

  • Is responsible for working in accordance with our compliance procedures, legislation and regulatory requirements at all times.  This includes, but not limited to, directives and guidance such as PMCPA, NMC, APBI Code of Practice, GMDP and other GxPs.

 

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION 

  • Knowledge/Experience of SAP essential
  • Experience working within import/export and customs clearance environment (Air/road).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft packages, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project 
  • Pharma industry experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a progressive and changing environment.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication.
  • Advanced planning, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills, ability to work cross-functional teams
  • Experience of managing relationship with 3PLs and suppliers essential.
