Title: FP&A Assistant Manager / Manager
Reporting line: directly report to GC Finance Director
Scope: Greater China, STADA
Objectives of this role
- Improve analysis from price to margin, business performance metrics, market performance
include external market data analysis, OPEX ROI tracking etc.
Assist in new product launch modeling, building business intelligence capabilities for GC.
Responsibilities
Budgeting and forecasting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets, forecasts, LO and
long-term financial plan.
- Prepare in-depth commentary on budget include business trends, cost assumptions, new
initiatives impact, identify areas of risks and opportunities.
Financial performance analysis
- Develop key performance indicators (KPI) and metrics, tacking actual performance against
targets, include assessment of margin, investment efficiency, marketing effectiveness,
working capital optimization, etc.
- Prepare and analyze monthly / quarterly / yearly KPI dashboards and financial
performance analysis, preparation of MBR deck and other review deck for country,
regional or global review.
- Conduct profitability analysis metrics in more detail granularity level to propose insightful
action plan to business teams.
- Implement robust financial control mechanisms to ensure data integrity and compliance
with accounting standards.
Cost management and efficiency enhancement
- Assist in cost management initiatives, analyzing cost structures and identifying areas for
optimization and efficiency improvement, include G2N, marketing investments and
operating cost.
- Closely work with business teams, to monitor, control and track costs according to
budgeting and forecasting.
Business and Data analysis
- Collect external data through partners, e-commerce platforms include GMV, data banks,
sell out, stock in trade, etc. information.
- Analysis of external, internal data to build dashboards about business performance include
pricing, market share, portfolios competition status, etc.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers, combined with data analysis to provide
business team with more solid data support for external opportunities or risks awareness.
Support on strategic planning
- Support the development of strategic plans and initiatives through financial analysis,
scenario modelling and business case evaluations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess investment opportunities.
- Support portfolio management team for new launches assessment and financial modelling
building.
- Other tasks or duties assigned by GC Finance Director.
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above, at least 5 years of proven experience in financial planning,
budgeting, forecasting and analysis. Candidate with big 4 or financial consulting experience
preferred.
- Excellent with MS-office software especially Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex financial data
and provide insight based on analysis, sensitive to numbers with good business acumen.
- Good interpersonal skills, communication effectively both verbal and written.
- Highly self-motivated, self-start and results-oriented.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Big 4, or consulting experience.
- CPA, ACCA, etc. professional certification.
- Strong in MS-office software, especially Excel, PowerPoint are must.
