Senior Supply Chain Demand Planner   

Reading | United Kingdom (GB) | Full-time | Fix-term 

 

OBJECTIVE:

To work with Customers to create the best possible forecast for all products within all markets. This will be achieved through engagement with the markets and a thorough understanding of their demand so that you can provide the business with key insights that will drive effective Supply Chain Planning. 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop a roadmap / strategy for the initiation of Demand Planning Processes
  • Creation of standard best in class SOPs for all Demand planning processes.
  • Identifies issues from Centralised Planning meetings and works with all countries to create effective resolution.
  • Develop statistical forecasts for all products and markets
  • Develop and introduce effective processes & Tools to drive forecast generation and demand management for the Portfolio
  • Ensures market/sales intelligence data added to the statistical forecasts is substantiated by business expectations and reconciled to overall business plans
  • Works closely with regional/country marketing managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements of new product introductions
  • Provides planning inputs to country product phase-in/phase-out plans
  • Manages country supply plan that meets anticipated customer demand at optimal inventory level
  • Manages exposure to excess and obsolete stocks.
  • Resolves supply issues by communicating and coordinating with country management; draws up a joint action and contingency plan for the resolutions of such issues
  • Communicates supply issues to the region and co-ordinates allocation priorities for the countries working with Supply planning.
  • Provide key insights into budgetary cycle and latest financial outlook. 
  • Translate Country ambitions into meaningful product outcomes to drive Supply Chain discussions
  • Is responsible for working in accordance with our compliance procedures, legislation and regulatory requirements at all times.  This includes, but not limited to, directives and guidance such as PMCPA, NMC, APBI Code of Practice, GMDP and other GxP

 

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:

  • This role will be offce based but will require an element of overseas travel as required.
  • Educated to degree level or CIPS/APICS,BPICS qualification or working towards
  • Excellent spoken and written communication 
  • Planning and organisation
  • Problem solving 
  • Interpersonal skills, relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure in a progressive and changing environment
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages, Advanced Excel level
  • Sound knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system desirable
  • Experience of the end to end planning cycle
  • Understanding of Sales and Marketing dynamics and the need for scenario planning.
  • Pharma Industry experience would be an advantage, including GxP experience
