We are seeking an experienced and strategic Indirect Procurement Category Manager to lead the development, execution, and management of sourcing strategies across designated spend categories. This role is critical in delivering value through cost savings, supplier performance management, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive procurement excellence and growth within a global organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Develop and implement category strategies aligned with overall business goals and procurement objectives.
*Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including market analysis, RFP/RFQ processes, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation
*Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
*Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure procurement delivers value and innovation.
*Monitor market trends and supply risk to identify opportunities for improvement or mitigation.
*Lead cost reduction initiatives and drive total cost of ownership (TCO) improvements across the category.
*Ensure contracts are commercially sound and reflect the agreed scope, pricing, SLAs, and risk provisions.
*Support budget planning and forecasting by providing accurate cost data and market intelligence.
*Use procurement tools and systems (e.g., e-sourcing platforms, ERP) to manage spend, supplier data, and reporting.
*Maintain compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.
EXPERIENCE
*Categories: All indirect categories but Marketing and Logistics experience is required.
*Spanish and English speaking who can collaborate across the global network.
*Candidate must have a Growth mindset, display STADA values and have a Commercial mindset with a strategic approach to sourcing.
*Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, or a related field; CIPS qualification preferred.
*Proven experience (5+ years) in procurement or category management in a commercial environment – logistics / marketing and sales experience is essential.
*Strong knowledge of contract law, negotiation tactics, and procurement best practices.
*Excellent analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
*Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
*Strong proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
*Demonstrated success in delivering cost savings and process improvements.
