ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for leveraging AI to enhance naive statistical forecasts and provide a reliable baseline for demand planners in various markets. The Senior Demand Analyst will identify demand patterns, trend changes, causal relationships, and main drivers behind baseline and promotional volume changes. This role involves creating and maintaining forecast models in IBP Demand Planning, incorporating business intelligence and AI-driven insights. The incumbent will understand key drivers of the forecast, identify discrepancies between sales and forecast, provide inputs for KPI tracking, and support new launch processes.
This role will not only focus on enhancing forecasting accuracy but will also involve nurturing a community of Demand Planners across Europe. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for leveraging data-driven insights to optimize demand planning processes
RESPONSIBILITIES
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data and incorporate insights into forecasting models
*Collaborate with IT for system enhancements
*Act as a Subject Matter Expert Demand Planners across Europe, promoting best practices and a culture of continuous improvement
*Organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and meetings to share knowledge and insights
*Foster collaboration and communication among demand planners to drive alignment on processes and objectives
*Improve forecast accuracy and BIAS, and maintain/report forecast-related KPIs
*Coordinate new launches and support launch dates, maintaining contact with local and global NPL functions
*Use advanced analytical tools to interpret complex data sets and identify trends that impact demand forecasting as well as the appropriate models to lower the need for manual intervention to lowest possible level
*Monitor and evaluate the performance of forecasting models and adjust strategies as needed.
EXPERIENCE
*Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field (Master’s degree preferred), ideally with an added specialization in Forecasting, Machine Learning or similar
*Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management
*Proven track record of improving forecasting accuracy using data-driven approaches and advanced analytics
*Experience leading and convincing teams or communities, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
*Proficiency in demand planning software SAP IBP for Demand Planning and advanced skills in reporting and visualization tools like PowerBI
*Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in demand forecasting
*Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
