IT Intern

OBJECTIVE
- Gain commercial & technical experience within an IT department that partners all functions within a multi-national pharma organisation that puts the patients at the centre of what they do.
- Support users & colleagues in a range of IT disciplines, whilst also assisting the team in running & managing all IT requests. Experience will be gained through job shadowing and attending training courses & events relevant at the time.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Understanding the business and the current use of technology within roles.
- Understanding the technology offerings from within the global group and external trends.
- Using the understanding developed to bring suggestions / proposals for improvements e.g. ways to make processes / tasks more efficient / reliable / cost effective / etc.
- Supporting the IT Business Partner in solution design and validation, ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory compliance.
- Provide support to end users on IT systems and assist in service / user acceptance & transition.
- Ensure high quality customer care to all colleagues, customers & suppliers, both remotely & face to face.
- Participate actively in team meetings, suggesting positive improvement opportunities.
- Escalate problems & trends to senior members of the team & management.
- Follow predefined change management processes & incident / service request management.
- Manage own workload through good time management & prioritisation skills, along with assigning new incidents.
- Order consumable items & monitor stock levels of consumable items if necessary.
- Support IT helpdesk admin & requests.
- Comply with all relevant Health & Safety legislations.
- Adherence to all corporate & legal policies.
- Travel, if needed, to other sites in the group to take part in training / meetings
