About the Role:

Reporting to Director of Procurement you will lead both the ongoing development and implementation of the STADA UK sustainability strategy in line with STADA Global ESG Commitments, business objectives, Government and Customer guidelines. The role will be companywide leadership role and will involve influencing and collaborating with stakeholders across both the Technical Operations and Commercial parts of the business organization to ensure sustainability objectives are met.

 

The role will ensure that the business is compliant with all policies and legal requirements. The role will be responsible for reporting to internal and external stakeholders the Company’s ESG metrics and carbon reduction plans, bringing innovative methodology and initiatives to the business from wider industry best practice.

The role will also be pivotal in exploring new ways of exploiting double materiality, adding value for the business and the society by reducing environmental footprints, enhancing social impacts and increasing economic benefits.

The sustainability lead also has a role in educating and empowering the Company’s employees and leaders on business sustainability issues and opportunities, helping raise awareness, build knowledge and develop skills on sustainability topics.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Shape, define and provide governance for all aspects of the UK Cluster  Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) planning and implementation.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, Project Management Office (PMO) participation and lead ESG improvement projects and activities and acting as a conduit for information across the UK cluster.
  • Ensure our systems and processes facilitate the meeting of our commitments, e.g. the capture and reporting to STADA Global, Authoritative bodies (NHS) and customers data for ESG topics.
  • Lead the improvement action plans for key suppliers underperforming in ECOVARDIS Responsible Procurement programme as per STADA Global Policy.
  • Development of the Company’s packaging policies and guidelines related to Sustainability topics including the coordination of data collection, capture and analysis
  • Champion sustainability internally working closely with Internal Comms.
  • Mentoring the sites’ Sustainability Champions via a UK Network sharing best practices
  • Liaising with commercial teams in UK and Affiliates in ESG reporting, commitments with government or other 3rd party agencies and customers.

  • Degree in Sustainability, Finance, Procurement or Supply Chain preferred or equivalent experience
  • Project and Change management experience with strong leadership and team development.
  • Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring to develop ESG knowledge and expertise
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO 14001 standards
