STADA UK Thornton & Ross – Supply Planning Manager

We are currently recruiting an experienced Supply Planning Manager to join our Supply Chain Team. As the Supply Planning Manager, you are responsible for overseeing and optimizing the flow of Inventory into the UK business to ensure our OTIF levels are maximized whilst Working Capital targets are met. You will be fully responsible for optimizing the process and communication of out stocks and working on mitigation plans to ensure disruption is minimal. You will take the lead in linking together the visibility and communication of both internal manufacturing supply as well as supply from our external manufacturers and translate this information so it’s easily understood by our commercial organization. Your focus will be on ensuring short term supply issues are understood, communicated and mitigated where possible as well as focusing on the medium to long term balancing of our Sales ambitions and our factory capacity. You will also take a leading role in the Commercial S&OP process.
How You Will Make an Impact
Leadership: Lead a team of supply planners, providing guidance, and support to ensure optimal team performance and professional development
Strategic Planning: Support the development and execution of comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with the company's commercial objectives.
Supplier Relationship Management: Partner with ESO leadership and external partners to ensure reliable and agile supply of products.
Demand Forecasting and Planning: Lead inventory planning activities to optimize product availability and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
Process Improvement and Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize lead times.
Sales & Operations Planning process: To contribute to the UK S&OP process by feeding in key supply and inventory information and actions.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, production, and finance to align inventory actions with commercial goals. Establish effective working relationships with the Global Supply Chain and be an active member of the community to support standardisation across the STADA SC network.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage supply chain risks effectively to mitigate potential disruption to customers, consumers and patients.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and deliver against supply chain KPIs and provide regular reporting to senior management.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum five years’ experience leading a Supply Chain team in FMCG and\or pharmaceutical
- Degree qualified desirable
- Experience of SAP or similar ERP systems
- Experience of Sales & Operations Planning or Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
- Experience of working with internal and contract manufacturing (CMO) supply
