About the Role:

Joining us as a Supply Chain Apprentice means you get an opportunity to take on responsibility from day one in a specific role and deliver against business objectives, with the view to a permanent role at the end of the 2.5 year programme and successful completion of the apprenticeship. The role has a wide and varied remit rotating around the Commercial Supply Chain including Customer Experience, Demand Management, Supply and Inventory Management, Artwork and Logistics teams, developing your knowledge and experience along the value chain and providing important liaison with the business to support the smooth running of the supply chain department to ensure we achieve our strategic vision of Caring for People’s Health as a Trusted Partner.


This role is specifically aimed at an A Level (or equivalent e.g. BTEC, T-Level) student who is passionate about supply chain and is looking for their first step on their career ladder in a Supply Chain function. Alongside your role, you will undertake the Supply Chain Practitioner (Level 3) Apprenticeship in Logistics, Supply Chain and Operations Management to achieve your qualification through a mixture of on-site and academic learning.


On a day to day basis your key responsibilities will include:


  • Take responsibility for managing a small customer group/ portfolio of products in one of our business hubs.
  • Forecasting product demand and supply and managing inventory health.
  • Coordinate transportation and distribution activities.
  • Managing the customer experience for your customers.
  • Collaborating with various internal stakeholders such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, Production, Procurement, Product Development and Regulatory to ensure a smooth Supply Chain performance.
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators to track and evaluate and develop supply chain performance.

  • Educated to at least A-Level standard by Summer 2024 (or equivalent), with ideally passes at Grade C or above in English/Mathematics/Business related subjects and an interest in developing a long-term career in Supply Chain.
  • Good IT skills - ability to use Microsoft Office packages including Work, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, in person, by telephone and in email
  • Exceptional time management & organisational skills, has the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • A friendly professional manner and appearance
  • Driven and self-motivated
