About the Role:

 

 

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Print & Packaging Artworker with to join our growing team. This is a newly created role bringing this position in house to deliver an improved and more flexible service to the business. On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with and support the STADA and Thornton & Ross Packaging Co-Ordination team, overseeing designs and artwork from their conception to final sign-off. Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Creating digital and physical packaging mock-ups using Adobe Creative Cloud programs such as: Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator and Acrobat.
  • Generating barcode labels, data matrix codes and add braille to artworks.
  • Preparing and amending artwork files using in-house and manufacturer templates.
  • Amending existing artworks to new packaging formats and keylines.
  • Ensuring artworks are consistent, accurate and follow any brand guidelines.
  • Proof checking using Adobe Acrobat and artwork lifecycle management software such as GLAMs (or equivalent).
  • Providing detailed feedback to external agencies or design studios.

 

 

About you:

 

To be successful in this role you will need:

 

  • A degree or higher qualification in graphic design and/or a solid track record of industry experience in art-working, proofing and pre-production preparation, preferably in the pharmaceutical and/or FMCG packaging industries.
  • Proven experience creating packaging artwork and a highly competent and adept Adobe Illustrator and InDesign user.
  • Proven experience in the print industry, with sound understanding of pre-press requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise effectively and produce accurate error-free work in a fast paced working environment.
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates accuracy, attention to detail, and style and possess an interest in the latest software and design trends.
