Role Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced procurement / supply chain professional who will have responsibility for executing the External Supply Organizations (ESO) Global & Local Operations strategy, into both the strategic and tactical priorities of daily ESO operations.

Key to the role is to align the global and local strategies, drive measures of operational performance in ESO functions and coordinate the resources (people, processes, and capital) to maximize value to internal and final customers.

This role will involve cross-functional collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders including, Operational Procurement team, Supply Chain Planning, Quality, Regulatory, Logistics and the Global Supply Chain and ESO function.

This role is key in supporting the delivery of our strategic vision of Caring for People as a Trusted Partner. On a day-to-day basis you will:

        • Lead the UK ESO Operations and related projects, responsible for tracking delivery of all key UK ESO related projects to protect service and achieve a competitive advantage.
  • Work closely with the UK ESO Functional leads, grow the business through inspirational leadership and operational excellence.
  • Develop the UK ESO governance structure, including clear input and outputs required for smooth running of operations, including key processes such as supply review, change control, NPL, tech transfers, KPI development and tracking, capability development, execution of UK ESO strategy & the Tier processes etc.
  • Be accountable for adherence and smooth running of UK ESO Operations governance processes, including action setting and completion and escalation of key constraints where appropriate.
  • Preparation of UK ESO related S&OP reporting to ensure any risks and opportunities are flagged to the commercial organization in a timely manner.
  • Provide a strong link with commercial PMO & organization, including process and governance around New Product Introductions

  • Degree or equivalent in a technical or numerical subject e.g. science or business 
  • 10 years + experience of working in multiple areas within Operations (procurement, quality, supply chain, technical, CI etc)
  • People leadership experience
  • Senior project manager experience that can be demonstrated through experience of Six Sigma or Lean certification
