About the Role:

The Quality Control department plays a key role in the chain at T & R as they are responsible for testing raw materials and manufactured products, so they are ready for use or sale when required. We are the final link in the chain to ensure that our products are safe, efficacious and of the correct quality for our customers.

 

In QC we work towards KPI (Key Performance indicator) targets to ensure that all samples are tested in a timely manner.  Analysts must have a keen eye for detail, and they must have an accurate and precise analytical technique.

 

The role of Analyst involves the routine QC testing of samples. These samples could be raw materials, manufactured products, or production lot stability. Analysts work in a team to ensure efficient testing of batches to meet team targets and ensure timely release. All samples are tested using a variety of pharmacopoeia test methods, including titration, HPLC, UV, IR, gravimetric analysis etc.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • To carry out analysis on samples submitted to the Laboratory.
  • To carry out any other work as may be reasonably requested.
  • To carry out the work required in an efficient, effective, and safe manner towards the performance targets of the team.
  • Ensure activities and changes to equipment and working practices are made in line with guidelines laid out in the ‘Orange Guide’.
  •  Ensure all improvement opportunities are in line with ISO standards. Ensure all manufacturing operations are defined and documented to ensure optimum performance.
  • Work to an agreed program of priorities. Provide regular feedback and progress reports. Proactively manage resources to ensure deadlines are met.

  • BSc Chemistry (or related science-based qualification)
  • Previous GMP laboratory experience     
  • Have a keen eye for, and good attention to, detail
  • A precise and accurate analytical testing technique
