About the Role:

The role is to support the QC Cleaning Verification team to ensure support is available for the Team Leader for proper running of the site cleaning verification plan during and outside core working hours. The job holder will support the team with the organisation of all analytical testing in line with targets, ensure all work in carried out to high GMP standards in an efficient and effective manner, and take responsibility to ensure reagent/standard stock levels are maintained.

 

The role will be varied and will require someone who can manage their time efficiently, and who is able to use their initiative to identify and prioritise tasks effectively.

 

Part of the role will involve interaction with TL and/or other departments to ensure swab samples are booked in and analysed in a timely manner, so the ideal candidate needs to be approachable and be able to communicate any concerns/issues effectively.  Key responsibilities include:

 

  • To perform analytical testing as required to support the site cleaning verification plan
  • To plan and carryout analytical work in a logical and effective manner, in liaison with line management, for the efficient and safe running of the CV Team
  • To maintain a stock of reagents and consumable for the specific use of cleaning verification and validation.
  • To carryout weekly in house calibration and maintain the TOC analyser in a working condition.
  • To assist with the OOX investigations of site issues related to cleaning and carry out any other work as may be reasonably expected.
  • To support with any swabbing events and sample preparation with respect to cleaning verification and validation.
  • In absence of TL, represent the CV team at core meetings, including Weekly QC and Quality Council.
  • Ensure all improvement opportunities are in line with ISO standards. Ensure all manufacturing operations are defined and documented to ensure optimum performance.
  • Ensure activities and changes to equipment and working practices are made in line with guidelines laid out in the ‘Orange Guide’.

  • BSc in Chemistry (or related science-based qualification)                               
  • Experience of problem solving
