Position Title: Head of Supply Chain – GETM


Summary:
As the Head of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure the efficient and effective flow of products from suppliers to customers, including logistics. You will play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction while maintaining cost-efficiency and compliance.


Areas of Responsibility: 


•    Strategic Leadership:
1.    Develop and execute the supply chain strategy for GETM in alignment with the company's overall business goals.
2.    Identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost reduction, and process optimization across the supply chain.


•    Team Management:
1.    Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, including procurement, logistics, demand planning, and inventory management.
2.    Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the supply chain team.


•    Supplier and Vendor Management:
1.    Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate terms, contracts, and pricing to ensure reliable and cost-effective sourcing of materials and products.
2.    Monitor supplier performance and take proactive measures to address any issues that may arise.


•    Demand and Supply Planning:
1.    Build the right forecasting tool by country to ensure optimal operations flow and reaction time.
2.    Oversee the demand forecasting and supply planning processes to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
3.    Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align demand forecasts with market trends and promotions.


•    Logistics and Distribution:
1.    Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers and distribution centers.
2.    Optimize distribution networks to reduce lead times and transportation costs.


•    Operational Excellence:
1.    Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, quality, and agility.
2.    Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess operational performance and drive corrective actions as needed.


•    Risk Management and Compliance:
1.    Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, such as geopolitical, regulatory, and operational challenges.
2.    Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.


•    Collaboration and Communication:
1.    Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
2.    Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on supply chain performance and initiatives.

 

Experience: 
•    Proven experience of 8 years in supply chain management, with 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
•    Ability to build operating models, lead disciplined forecasts and S&OP with customers.
•     Previous experience in multi-country operations & multi-supply sources
•    Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and trends within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
•    Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and motivating teams. 
•    Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
•    Logistics experience directly or indirectly in multiple countries.


Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree is a plus.

 

Technical skills: 
•    Microsoft Office package (Excel/Word/PP)
•    Demand Forecasting tool
•    Proficiency in supply chain software and technologies; experience with ERP and demand planning systems is preferred.
