Global Specialist for Credit Management

About the job
As a Global Specialist for Credit Management, you will oversee credit processes within the corporate treasury team. Your responsibilities include assessing customer risk, reviewing credit reports, managing overdue accounts, and ensuring compliance with payment terms. Collaborating with internal teams and customers internationally is essential for maintaining accurate financial data. You will also participate in decision-making for payment agreements and support global credit management initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Supervision of credit management in corporate treasury
• Risk assessment of the customer portfolio, assessment of credit reports, assessment of security funds, impairment test of receivables as well as debt collection charges and support
• Coordination of accounts receivable and clarification of differences, overdue management,
• Control and maintenance of credit limits
• Checking the creditworthiness of customers
• Monitoring of compliance with individually defined payment terms and presentation of the data using cash collection reports
• Maintenance of master and contract data through close cooperation with the operational teams in the company
• Personal contact with customers and internal departments in Germany and abroad
• Preparatory decision-making body for payment agreements and settlements
• Participation in projects
• Support and collaboration in global credit management, in particular further development of the guidelines and the global risk strategy
• Rollout and training in the subsidiarie
Qualifications:
• Completed BA degree in Economics
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in finance and accounting - ideally in credit management
• Knowledge of international insolvency law is an advantage
• Confident handling of MS Office
• Very good knowledge of SAP R/3 FI - FSCM CR is an advantage
• Structured, and result-oriented way of working
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Fluent written and spoken English – Fluency in German is an advantage
