Global Automation Engineer supports the Global Automation & Controls Leader in all aspects of Automation & Controls Engineering. The Global Automation Engineer is responsible for supporting operation of Automation Systems and Computerized System Validation (CSV) across STADA production sites. Managing and directly supporting capital projects like STADA production digitalization project (Plant Information System Data Historian) rollout, Digital Factory and Overall Equipment Effectiveness project, Machine Data Connection (MDC) and the CSV projects.

Job description:

• Develop and implement Global STADA Automation and Controls Strategy for Digitisation and system performance improvement program aligning to Global OpEx initiatives and utilizing relevant industry tools and techniques
• Develop and implement site level system recapitalization plan to improve the Global Asset landscape
• Develop and implement Automation and Control System improvements, in alignment with Global Manufacturing / Packaging Engineering to maximise capacity and utilization of equipment
• Assist sites with TPM initiative though cultural change to improve performance and utilization of site resources
• Define and provide training programs in specific key areas of Automation and Controls, System Programming and System Maintenance to develop capability of team resources
• Perform reviews and audits as necessary to identify system efficiency improvements and compliance to relevant inspectorate bodies.
• Prepare and report Global data and information on Global Automation & Controls progress for management
• Support and develop top technical talent within the Automation & Controls Engineering structure and wider Engineering group
• Assist in developing the Global automation strategy, targets and performance tracking
• Define site level Automation & Controls KPI’s, targets and performance, including progress tracking / reporting
• Define and implement any IT solutions to improve processes, reporting and training
• Participate in supplier evaluation and tender evaluations as necessary
• Providing support and overseeing computerized systems validation (CSV) life cycle status
• Participate in the preparation and performance of periodic inspections and revalidation of the automation control systems. Conducting training related to computerized systems and technical training related to software selection, installation, validation, etc.

Qualifications:

• University degree (or equivalent) in Automation & Controls / Engineering, or other related technical field
• Relevant  Automation and Controls, Equipment / Process / Production Engineering experience (> 5 years) in an  Automation and Controls function in the pharmaceutical industry (or industry with comparable processes)
• Outstanding Technical knowledge with demonstrated ability to deliver safe and fully compliant technical solutions
• In-depth knowledge and experience (> 5 years) of industry Automation and Controls Engineering standards
• Manufacturing and Packaging process knowledge and process equipment knowledge of pharmaceutical operations (manufacturing and packaging operations)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of automation systems, computer system validation (CSV) and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry is advantage
• Knowledge in Programming / ISA95 level 1-2-3 control system components PLC-HMI – SCADA system is preferred
