Position Title: Finance Manager - Egypt
Location: Cairo/Egypt
Department: Finance
Reporting Lines
- Direct Reporting: Country Manager - Egypt
- Functional Reporting: Finance Director – Global Exports & Trade Markets
The Finance Manager - Egypt will lead the Finance function across Egypt, providing strategic financial direction, managing financial operations, and ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. The role involves close collaboration with senior management to drive business growth, improve financial performance, and support the strategic objectives of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the overall business objectives in the Egypt & Global Exports and Trade Markets.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the senior management team to drive strategic decision-making.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions and identify growth opportunities.
- Monitor financial performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with local and corporate requirements.
Operational Finance Management:
- Manage the financial operations, including accounting, payroll, treasury, and tax.
- Optimize cash flow management and working capital requirements.
- Implement and oversee financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as needed.
Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Provide financial support and guidance for commercial activities, including pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and investment decisions.
Risk Management:
- Identify and manage financial risks, including currency and market risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the company’s financial interests.
- Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
AP and AR (Focus on Egypt and support to GETM )
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, and maintain records of all transactions.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies, negotiate payment terms, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Generate and send out invoices, track outstanding payments, and follow up with clients to ensure timely collections.
- Reconcile customer accounts, resolve payment and claims discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of all receivables.
Process and Standardization (Focus on Egypt and support to GETM )
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across the organization.
- Create and update financial policies, ensuring they are well-documented, communicated, and adhered to by all relevant departments.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical industry.
Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Proven track record of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements in the Egypt.
- Proficient in financial management systems and software.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
