About the Role:

You will be joining the Thornton & Ross Export team within the wider UK Supply Chain team. The primary objective of the Export team is to provide exceptional levels of Customer Service and that OTIF/PFR targets are achieved.  You will have a good awareness and understanding of GDP along with following current export rules and regulations. It is also imperative to develop outstanding relationships with internal stakeholders, such as the Business Hubs, STADA Affiliates, Supply Chain, Customer Services, Quality, Regulatory and Finance.

 

Key to the role is to establish and maintain effective and influential working relationships with external stakeholders, particularly 3PL and international freight providers.

 

To work with approved freight providers to plan international logistics services and customs clearances.

 

You will have a good awareness and understanding of GDP and export customs procedures to ensure correct transportation conditions and documentation requirements are met.

 

To be responsible for financial transactions with suppliers of freight services and the approved 3PL provider from creation of the PO to payment of the invoice.

 

You will comply with all Health & Safety requirements and other SOP’s relevant to the role.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing of customer orders onto SAP in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Providing excellent customer service to all customers including STADA affiliates, distributors and agents.
  • Liaison with 3PL to arrange timely packing, collection and/or distribution of export orders.
  • To communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding delivery schedules, outbound logistic plans and issues affecting timely supply to customers.
  • Processing orders including the preparation of the appropriate documentation needed for each destination country and dealing with appropriate bodies e.g. Chamber of Commerce
  • Day to day liaison, influencing and effective relationship building with approved freight forwarders
  • Raising PO’s through the Ariba/Cora system
  • Ability to organise and prioritize the workload ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Deliver improvements in service levels: Target 97% OTIF\PFR
  • To ensure key business processes are executed and supported to a high standard and are continuously challenged and improved
  • To carry out any other work as may be reasonably requested

  • Ideally degree qualified or professional accreditation e.g. CILT, Institute of Export
  • Experience of SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Excellent understanding of GDP
  • Good understanding of export (and ideally imports) customs regulations including post-Brexit requirements
  • Experience of financial administration
