Eurasia Business Development Lead

Key Responsibilities of Eurasia Business Development Lead:
Business Development:
- Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities with external partners, including CMOs, licensing partners, and other pharmaceutical companies.
- Lead negotiations and structure partnership agreements, including distribution and/or promotion, in-licensing, contract manufacturing, and co-marketing deals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing partners, facilitating alliances to support the company’s long-term strategic goals.
- Conduct due diligence on potential partners, assessing technical capabilities, regulatory history, market performance, and strategic fit.
- Buid and defend business cases (financial models) to justify the partnership opportunities.
- Lead and drive the contract terms review, improvement, and negotiations.
Portfolio Management:
- Lead the team of portfolio & launch excellence management.
- Define and manage the development of a strategic product portfolio, focusing on market trends, patient needs, and regulatory opportunities.
- Analyze market data, regulatory pathways, patent expirations, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for portfolio expansion.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (both global and local), including R&D, Regulatory, Legal, and Commercial teams, to prioritize products for development and launch.
- Supervise business cases and financial models development to support decision-making for new product launches.
- Supervise, train, and motivate the team to ensure the high standard of structured project management and adherence to portfolio and business strategy.
Market & Competitive Analysis:
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities, providing insights to inform business strategy.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of market needs, regulatory changes, and emerging therapeutic areas to identify potential new business opportunities.
- Utilize data and analytics to evaluate the return on investment and potential profitability of new opportunities.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience: 5-8 years of experience in business development, portfolio management, or strategic alliances within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of value chain, pharmaceutical manufacturing, regulatory pathways, licensing, and market dynamics.
- Negotiation & Relationship Management: Proven track record of leading successful negotiations, structuring partnership deals, and managing external relationships.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data, evaluate business opportunities, and create detailed financial and business models.
- Technical Skills: MS Excel & PowerPoint advanced proficiency, familiarity with business intelligence software (Power BI).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present complex information clearly.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and objectives.
- People Management: Proven track of leading the diverse and high-performing teams.
