EG Consumer Care creates innovative brands of nutritional supplements, medical aids and medicines that are available in pharmacies without prescription (OTC). Business Development & Portfolio Manager Generics

Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic & hands-on business development manager Generics who can contribute to the company’s growth by driving portfolio management with a focus on development & launch excellence as well as form and manage strategic partnerships for in-licensing, out-licensing and commercial collaborations across existing and new areas within the OTC and Generics space.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Stakeholder management

  • Drive the development strategy for OTC and Generics in Belgium.
  • Lead the selection process, ensuring strategic alignment with EG’s commercial objectives.
  • Build robust business cases including financial models, forecasts, investment plans and risk assessments.
  • Provide Belgian market input to the Generics marketing & sales team in order to support decision-making for the Generics marketing & sales plans
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Regulatory, Medical, Finance, Supply Chain, Market Access) to ensure alignment and readiness for pipeline execution

 

Business Development

  • Support product evaluations (including dossiers, registration feasibility, commercial attractiveness).
  • Identify and evaluate external growth opportunities (in-licensing, partnerships, co-marketing, out-licensing).
  • Support the short-, mid- and long-term BD strategy for Generics in Belgium.
  • Lead due diligence, negotiations, and contract development for new deals.
  • Collaborate with global and regional BD teams to align local initiatives with group strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate BD policies and governance standards

 

Launch Excellence

  • Lead and coordinate end-to-end launch processes for new Gx products: from regulatory readiness to go-to-market inclusief full project management.                                
  • Ensure strong back-end planning, demand forecasting, positioning and market differentiation.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial, regulatory, medical, and supply teams to ensure timely and impactful product launches.
  • Track progress on key launch KPIs and ensure escalation and resolution of any barriers to success.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Engineering, Business Administration or similar; MBA is a plus.
  • Appr. 3 years’ experience in business development, portfolio management or commercial/marketing roles in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Proven understanding of OTC/Gx markets and consumer healthcare dynamics.
  • Solid grasp of the full product lifecycle from opportunity identification to launch and lifecycle management.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, licensing deals and cross-functional project coordination.
  • Strong analytical skills, financial acumen and strategic mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch & English and strong knowledge of French.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally internationally.
