Software License Manager (m/f/d)   

Bad Vilbel | Germany (DE) | Full-time | Permanent 

 

What you can expect

 

  • You are responsible for effective implementation and maintenance of IT software asset and license Management procedures and working practices in a hybrid cloud and on-prem scenario
  • You effectively utilize software asset and license management tools and processes to ensure successful completion of audits
  • You perform regular license compliance reviews to ensure a compliant usage of any 3rd party software
  • You manage relationships with vendors and drive for value and process effectiveness
  • You consult software procurement and software implementation projects on optimal licensing
  • You analyze contracts and license agreements to ensure a high quality of decision making
  • You manage external license audits on global level and support the steering of software vendors
  • You proactively nominate potential saving and optimization opportunities
  • You are the single point of contact within STADA regarding software licensing topics
  • You collaborate closely with the Procurement team to identify potential optimization of software licenses in framework and maintenance contracts
  • You provide financial information for the annual budget; identify cost reductions / optimizations 

 

Who we are looking for

 

  • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, engineering or a related discipline with a focus on information technology
  • You have at least five years' experience in managing software assets and licences, including third-party management
  • You have extensive experience (>5 years) with proven results in software negotiations
  • You have experience in project/asset management, contract management and vendor relations in a technology environment is desirable
  • Ideally, you have experience with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • You have in-depth market knowledge of IT software licensing (SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.)
  • You have a strong understanding of software technology, licensing and controls and are able to understand and interpret the intricacies of software licensing agreements and contracts
  • You have an analytical approach to problem solving and appreciate working as part of a team to achieve results with a sense of urgency
  • You have a strong understanding of software licence compliance in large organisations
  • You have a very good strategic, solution- and cost-oriented mindset
  • You have fluent language skills in German and English
