Manager Logistics Operations (f/m/d)

The Manager Logistic Operations is responsible to establish, lead and direct the Logistic 3PLs in Germany to deliver the service and cost objectives supporting Stada's strategies.


What you can expect:


  • You are steering 3PL in Germany, taking ownership of all operational and commercial key figures and agreements with our partners (KPIs, SLAs, EHS, etc.)
  • You develope, maintain and analyze selected KPI metrics, to implement a continuous improvement culture in all German 3PL sites.
    This includes both local and export business
  • You define and implement the set of KPIs that will help to align capacity and needs for the incoming months based on sales forecast
  • You manage relationships with 3PLs, customs broker, and freight forwarders including support of contract/rate negotiations and performance aspects
  • You prepare, track and deliver the Logistics budget for Germany:
    • Invoice control and approvals
    • Monthly monitoring of costs and investments, identify and report variances to budget.
    • Identifying root cause and corrective action plans
    • Ensuring that cost related procedures are following Global policies and local rules
  • You ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations and contract compliance
  • You implement Stada’s Global Logistics strategies for all German sites
  • You lead the implementation of Logistic projects in Germany 
  • You provide the expertise needed related to all Customs and Export Trade topics,
    supporting ongoing development and training of team members and/or 3PLs
  • You lead and support interdepartmental projects, and control the implementation at every logistics location
  • Be the contact point for internal stakeholders regarding Logistic questions for Germany, for ex. Regulatory, QA or IT
  • You develop and maintain analyses leading to detailed understanding of the Cost to Serve customers from Germany
  • You are the “Stada to go person” in case of logistics emergencies in the German 3PL warehouses.
    Emergences can be defined based on business needs or based on un-expected issues


Who we are looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in operational Logistic in a pharmaceutical, retail or consumer goods environment.
  • Proven knowledge of operational Export Trade, including Customs and coordination with suppliers.
  • Can Do attitude with mindset of delivering best customer service
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems, with a cost and service-oriented thinking.
  • Ability to build relationships and work closely with cross functional stakeholders (for ex., Commercial, Quality) and external partners to ensure alignment and business optimization
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to communicate at all levels
  • Strong ability to manage various projects. High level of communication capabilities across multiple organizational levels.
  • Open mind, able to listen and ready to receive feedback and proposal from different stakeholders
  • Good SAP and MS Office knowledge
