Your responsibilities:


  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating BDL and M&A transaction documents (such as in-/out licensing agreements, asset purchase and share purchase agreements) and participating in due diligence
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of agreements throughout the entire value chain of a pharmaceutical company such as CDAs, manufacturing and supply agreements
  • Providing business-focused and reliable legal advice to internal stakeholders, in particular to the BDL and M&A departments, but also to procurement, supply chain, regulatory, quality, on various legal topics
  • Identifying training needs among business stakeholders and developing/presenting training and education on relevant legal topics/legal developments or use of existing templates
  • Identifying contract template needs and developing the same
  • Establishing and building good working relationships with internal clients based on mutual trust and respect and a comprehensive knowledge of the company's business, strategy, its needs, and objectives
  • Coordinating with and managing external counsel as required for advice in several jurisdictions


Your qualification:


  • University degree in law and completed second German State Exam, preferably with above-average grades, or foreign qualified lawyer (preferably from the UK, USA, Switzerland, Austria with above-average grades)
  • At least 5 years PQE, preferably with a minimum of 2 years PQE in the pharmaceutical or life science industry
  • A proven record in drafting and negotiating of commercial contracts typical within the life science industry, including BDL and M&A related transaction agreements
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, ability to exercise sound commercial and legal judgement, ability to handle (and striving for completion) multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and ability to identify the relevant legal issues and provide strategic directions with business acumen
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Fluent command of English and preferably German
