Director (f/m/d) Real Estate Facilities Services, Global Indirect Procurement

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Lead a business area or functional Purchasing team, establishing and communicating vision and strategic direction, providing business context, coaching and direction
  • Manage a geographically dispersed team of people constantly assigned on strategic sourcing projects
  • Represent their organisation with global strategic suppliers/contractors as appropriate, ensuring the organisation's performance requirements are understood and being met
  • Take accountability for creating Purchasing strategy and delivering value in their set/functional area and advises the CPO on development of Group Purchasing agenda
  • Ensure that their teams and their stakeholders leverage and operate in line with the organisation’s Purchasing tools, processes, and policies
  • Build consensus and support of other leaders, leading and contributing to the development of improved Purchasing strategy and practice
  • Strategic Planning – development of long term, sustainable strategic category plans for the entire spend within a business unit, region or globally
  • Relationship management – ensure that category strategies are highly aligned to current and future business needs and the supply base is capable of supporting these strategies
  • Oversee implementation of the Category plans – ensure that the underpinning process improvement and procurement activities deliver the expected business value in accordance with the strategic plans, global processes, systems, and governance
  • Engage with key business stakeholders across the STADA enterprise to gain approval and support for the Category plan, including annual budget cycles and devolved procurement savings targets
  • Provide the highest level of Procurement expertise - establish robust supplier management principles and ensure category team follows them
  • Track performance and reporting across the category using the assigned systems and processes
  • Develop, review, negotiate and execute complex business agreements and contracts. Apply extensive knowledge of complex contract and purchase orders to resolve differences with suppliers and develop and advise on appropriate procurement strategies and tactics for negotiations 
  • Advise on the revision of procurement practices to ensure their conformance with established laws
  • Advise on appropriate methods and strategies for cost reduction, cost avoidance, cost containment programmes
  • Advise on the development of the appropriate sourcing approach based on the analysis of historic and forecasted spend data, supply market information and business stakeholder requirements

 

Your qualification:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced tertiary qualifications preferably in business administration, commerce, engineering, or supply chain. Recognised qualification in Procurement is a plus.
  • Extensive years of experience in leading a purchasing department in the pharmaceutical industry, or listed Categories – must be able to show deep domain knowledge of category(s) and delivering value across large, de-centralised organizational enterprises
  • Supplier Management experience
  • Experience of people management
  • Proven track record of leading large, complex, category management activities at enterprise level, including major, multi-geographic programmes
  • Ability and experience of coaching in Category Management best practice Well-developed analytical, conceptual and communication skills
  • Builds and sustains positive relationships
  • Handles conflicts and negotiations effectively
  • Collaborates and works well with others
  • Fluent in English and German (other European languages would be an advantage)
