System Engineer – Microsoft

Location: Belgrade/Vrsac

Your responsibilities will include:

Operation and Maintenance

• Operations and maintenance of server infrastructure support in STADA Data Centers (including Cloud Data Centers)
• System administration, server patching, supporting upgrades and resolution of incidents and problems according to the designed SLA
• Service monitoring and response to the incidents 24x7 according to the passive on-call schedule
• Creating and automating deployment of standard images for server infrastructure
• Software deployment for server and client infrastructure
• Creating and improving the documentation for Corporate IT Infrastructure, including processes and procedures
• Suggesting and ensuring high security standards are implemented in the area of responsibility

Representing IT Infrastructure in projects and daily work

• Collaborating with IT Infrastructure teams in global STADA markets
• Implementing best practices leveraging cloud IaaS/PaaS services and traditional Data Center services
• Representing IT Infrastructure in Projects and business as usual activities related to new system implementation, system review and upgrade, mergers and acquisitions, information security, internal and external audits
• Participating in IT Infrastructure life cycle management and optimization
• Contributing to business case creation for the proposed IT Infrastructure improvement initiatives

Driving improvements and innovation

• Tracking market trends and recommending innovative and cost effective solutions
• Evaluating new technology and proposing improvements
• Proactively addressing structural improvement opportunities in IT Infrastructure
• Participating in RfP creation for selected initiatives and projects and providing technical recommendations and vendor selection support
• Being able to present in a clear and understandable way to different stakeholders

Your qualifications:

• Master or Bachelor Degree (Information Technology or related field) or relevant working experience
• 5+ years’ experience with Microsoft Windows Server technologies on-premise and/or in public and private clouds
• 3+ years’ experience building and maintaining system automation using PowerShell or other scripting languages
• Experience with Microsoft infrastructure services including Azure
• Experience with monitoring tools
• Participated in 24X7 passive on-call rotation
• 5+ years’ experience with VMware vSphere (vSphere, vSAN, Horizon)
• 5+ years’ experience with Veeam portfolio of backup / DR solutions
• 5+ years’ experience with HPe\Dell servers and Storages (HPE 3PAR,Nimble and etc.)
• Fluent English language skills (additionally German is an advantage)
